Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance is a novella introducing three couples Brody Stevenson-Michaela(Micki)Horton, Jake Callahan-Jaden Kingsley & Trevor Winters-Rayna Baxter. Brody, Jake & Trevor plan a night to remember for Michaela, Jaden and Rayna. But each is harboring a secret from 3 months ago.

What initially inspired you to write Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance

I started writing Brody and Micki’s story, when an idea popped in my head to introduce the couples in a novella and what all went wrong that dreadful night fifteen years ago that brought Brody and Micki to where they were today.

Tell us little about the characters Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance

Brody Stevenson, Jake Callahan and Trevor Winters have been friends since they can remember “The Three Musketteers”, the citizen of Meadow Falls nicknamed them “Three Mischeivousteers” because of their hijinks. Brody has always been in love with Michael Horton since they were young, the town always suspected that one day when they were older they would be married.  Jake Callahan is the no commitment type, smart aleck type. Jaden Kingsley is a take no crap from anyone personality. Trevor Winter and Rayna Baxter are the quiet type of the friends.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?

The hardest part I would say was just putting what was going on in my head to words, being my first time.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?

My favorite part probably was the banter between Brody, Jake & Trevor. I has so much fun with them. Some of their banter came from what I have heard my three adult sons & their friends.

What are your future project(s)?

The present time I am working on Brody and Micki’s story, Brody’s Redemption.

Now an exciting excerpt from Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance!

     The band started to play an old Ronnie Milsap song, one of the men in silhouette turned slowly singing What, a, difference you've made in my life What a difference you've made in my life You're my sunshine day and night Oh what a difference you've made in my life ,pointing at Micki while singing.
Micki gasped and giggled, "Brody".
    The second man in silhouette turns and starts singing the next few lines, pointing at Jaden with a shitty grin, What a change you have made in my heart What a change you have made in my heart You replaced all the broken parts Oh what a change you have made in my heart
"Oh my god, what a jackass," Jaden laughs.
    On the next verse Trevor turns and winks towards Rayna Love to me was just a word in a song That had been way over-used But now I've joined in the singin' 'Cause you've shown me love's true meanin' That's why I want to spread the news.
    Micki and Jaden looked at Rayna as tears were raising in her eyes. "See what did I say earlier," Micki said.
    Rayna could barely nod, she was in shock as they listened to the special men in their lives serenading them in front of all of Meadow Falls, finish singing together. What a difference you've made in my life, whoa-oh-oh-oh What a difference you've made in my life You're my sunshine day and night Oh what a difference you've made What a difference you've made, in OUR life, they finish with one hand over their hearts and the other pointing at Micki, Jaden and Rayna.

Lucy Belle lives in Ohio, born and raised, with her husband of twenty years. She is a proud mother of four adult children, who have been her world and still are, and two very ornery American Eskimo fur babies. She is a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns, NASCAR driver Kurt Busch fan. Lucy Belle ventured into writing on the advice of her son, after many years of being an avid reader. Meadow Falls Sweetheart Dance was her first book to dip her toes into the writing world with.
