A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #2
Mayhem!

Before he became Tony Delaney’s right-hand man, Tick lost his dreams of being happy. After ten years, he is still haunted by the sudden loss of his fiancée and unborn son. Going through life thinking he doesn’t deserve happiness, his nights become filled with endless one-night stands. That is until he rescues Cyma. As quickly as he saves her, she walks out of his life, disappearing into the crowded Manhattan street. Days later, he accidentally runs into her at a party and his attraction grows stronger.

Cyma’s hard life has been nothing but pain and sorrow. She labels the charismatic stranger who saved her as a knight in shining armor. A chance meeting days later and Tick turns her world upside down. She's scared to hold on to the fairy-tale dream of being with him, but she's even more afraid to let him go.

Can these two somehow heal each other? Will their love survive all of the obstacles that are thrown their way?

Q & A with Autumn Sand about Mayhem!

Tell us about Mayhem.
Mayhem is the love story of Dante and Cyma. The two of them are broken but somehow find each other and help each other to heal. It’s not your typical mafia love story. It is more about family and finding love.

What initially inspired you to write Mayhem?
When I was a child, I had a friend who died from leukemia. It was a tough thing to understand at the age of five. I often think about him as an adult. Mayhem was in my own way a tribute to him.

Tell us little about the characters in Mayhem?
Dante lost his fiancé and unborn son on his wedding day. As a result, he enlisted in the Marines to get away from the memories and the guilt of being alive. Cyma is a single mother who has a very sick daughter. She is the perfect match for the tough as nails ex-marine, Dante, because she’s pretty tough herself.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?
The prologue was the absolute hardest part. Right, in the beginning, I throw the reader into the emotional rollercoaster. I take the reader through how Dante loses his fiancé and unborn son.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
There are a few that comes to mind, but I think my absolute favorite would probably be the epilogue. There is a touching moment that I believe every reader felt satisfied with.

What are your future project(s)?
I am currently rewriting the first book of the Twisted Hearts series Bedlam. After Bedlams release in March 2017, I will be writing Manny and Magnum’s story. They are supporting characters in Bedlam and Mayhem, but they will get their own books as well.

Now an exciting excerpt from Mayhem!

“I’m not a thug.” I cringe at his words as I’m reminded of that night together when I called him and his friends thugs. “Neither are Tony or my boys. Yeah, we may do bad shit, but it’s only when we feel our family is threatened. You were threatened—fuck, you were more than threatened; you were hurt. So that meant me stepping in to handle shit. Got a temper. But you already know that. You also know I would die for you and that little girl of yours. So no more running away. Not unless you are running to me and not from me.”

Tears begin to fall down my cheeks as relief settles around me. I don’t deserve this man. I love him so much. I never knew I could love another man after what happened with my ex-husband. “I love you,” I whisper the words.

Author Bio:

Autumn Sands was born and raised in New York City. Considering herself a true New Yorker in every way from the restaurants that she eats to the shoe fetish she has. Oh yes at one time Autumn has had a shoe collection of 300 and has the credit card statements to prove it. Other than shoe shopping she has various interests such as reading, writing, and traveling. Autumn has worked in the fashion industry for most of her adult life before pursuing writing. She is reluctant to call herself an author but considers herself a person who writes words that people just so happen to like to read. As you can tell Autumn has a sarcastic sense of humor and loves to make her friends laugh in all occasions. She enjoys a good glass of wine but her go to drink of choice is a Jack Daniels and coke with a twist of lime. None of those froufrou girlie drinks for her.
