A Macconwood Pack Novel
From the Grazi Kelly Universe
Cat's Howl

Cat Maccon, was always a handful, even as a pup. It wasn’t easy growing up in an all male household, but this South Jersey Werewolf is tough as nails. She’s on a mission to prove herself. Causing no end of grief for her older brother, Rafe Maccon, Alpha of the Macconwood Pack.

Cat joins the Maccon County Sheriff's Department determined to be taken seriously amongst her big brother's Wolf Guard. Okay, maybe one Wolf Guard in particular, Tate Nighthawk. Tall, rugged, and handsome. He’s the stuff of Cat’s dreams, but she’s been burned before.

When she is targeted by their enemies, led by the dangerous rogue Werewolf Skoll, Rafe assigns Cat her own personal bodyguard. Knowing how his sister hates to be told what to do, Rafe gives her the one Wolf Guard he knows won’t be taken in by her wily ways. Tate Nighthawk himself.

Tate takes his job very seriously and no amount of pouting or lamp throwing will bend him to Cat’s will. Even if she is the best damn thing he ever saw. Old memories haunt him when he is forced to spend time with the one woman who he turned his back on. But he won’t let that interfere with his assignment.

Stuck alone in the woods together, without any way to contact the Pack, their tumultuous past catches up with them. Will this spunky she-Wolf finally find true love or is she too much for Tate to handle?

What initially inspired you to write Cat's Howl: A Macconwood Pack Novel?
The Macconwood Pack is the center of my first Paranormal Romance series, but they live in the Grazi Kelly Universe that I have created in my Young Adult Novels. The idea for them first came to me when writing Hunter Moon: A Grazi Kelly Novel #2. I needed my heroine to have a friendly group of Werewolves to reference and go to for aid that were unconnected to both her grandfather’s Pack and the Hounds of God, but that’s another series.

The personas of the Macconwood Wolves were just so strong I felt they needed their own series! I plan on developing a story for each of them.

Tell us little about the characters in this book.
Cat Maccon is a rough and tough she-Wolf who is fiercely determined to prove herself worthy of being a Wolf Guard to her Alpha and also her brother, Rafe Maccon.
Tate Nighthawk is one of Rafe’s closest and oldest friends. He is also a member of the Wolf Guard. He and Cat have history, but he can’t forget the boy he used to be. Cast aside from his own family and unworthy of her heart.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?
I think the hardest part of writing any book is well, writing it. I am very conscious of the fact that I am writing e-books for a specific audience. I try very hard to write with them in mind, I mean I don’t want to lose their attention. I want to keep them clicking that little arrow on the right to get to the next page. So I write fast paced, action packed series with supernatural creatures and passionate scenes set in my home state of New Jersey.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
I love writing the first chapter. It sets the tone, you know? I can introduce my characters and create the atmosphere for the rest of the book.

What are your future project(s)?
My next new release will be later this summer. Keeping Magic: The Angela Tanner Files #2 is a young adult novel about the adventures of teen witch Angela Tanner and bad boy Guardian, Jody Nieves.
I am also working on the fifth Grazi Kelly book for a late 2017 release.

And finally, the third book in the Macconwood Pack Series, Code Wolf, will be released late this winter.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the readers about this book/series?
Meet the Macconwood Pack in book 1, Charley’s Christmas Wolf for just #99cents or #free on #KU.

Now an exciting excerpt from a Cat's Howl!

Cat knew she overstepped, but she couldn’t help herself. She stalked across the house to her room and made her way to the shower.
The hot spray hit her body and Cat sighed. She was tense. Even after her workout. She scrubbed her body with the vanilla-tangerine scented body wash Charley had purchased for her.
It reminded Cat of flavored frozen custard on the Boardwalk. She closed her eyes and exhaled. Memories played through her mind. Games, rides, frozen custard, and cotton candy. She used to sneak off and follow Rafe and his buddies when she was just a kid.
Man that was fun! She wished it were summer now. She could use a funnel cake after the bomb Rafe just dropped on her. A bodyguard! Really?
She didn’t flinch when the bathroom door swung open. Nudity was sort of acceptable for Wolves. Not that she paraded around naked, but there were times during the full moon when she or other Wolves were nude before and after the Change. Hey, it happened.
“Liam is that you?,” she knew it wasn’t the youngest Wolf of the house the second she inhaled. Oh crap! She fought the urge to duck and cover.
She was grateful steam from the shower fogged the glass enough to hide her blush from probing eyes. Black eyes to be exact.
“Does Liam often come into your bathroom when you’re showering?”
“What? No! Ew, no way! Why the heck are you in here?”
“Rafe ordered me to act as your guard for the foreseeable future.”
“Oh bullshit! I don’t need a bodyguard!”
“Well, you got one.”
“That’s just great, sunshine! But I’m pretty sure I can handle things in here!”
“That’s a shame, I’m an excellent backwasher. But if you’re really sure, I’ll wait outside. And, uh, tell Liam to stay the hell out of your bathroom.”
Cat flinched when he left the room, slamming the door. Was Rafe out of his mind assigning Tate Nighthawk to her?
