Hate the game, not the player...
Only the good die young, but did it really have to be my brother--the only person in my family who understood me? Growing up in a house that's built entirely on Super Bowl wins, I refuse to love the game and the men who play it. Football has a way of destroying lives. And here I am frustrated, angry, and empty--sick of everything that has any connection to the sport.
But then Brice comes along...
He's everything I want, and everything I hate. Now that he's a part of my world, I can't give him my heart. It's too shattered and fragile for someone like him. But I keep wondering, can he mend the broken pieces, or will he toss it away like just another one of his touchdown passes?

Tell us about Joe Football.
Joe Football is the story of the romance of Favor and Brice. They overcome personal obstacles that could tear them apart but makes them stronger as a couple instead.
What initially inspired you to write Joe Football?
I have always enjoyed college romance stories, and I wanted to give my own spin on it. I thought it would be fun to see it from the perspective of someone who has lived the life of a what its like to live in a football household.
Tell us little about the characters in Joe Football.
Favor is damaged by her relationship with her parents and the loss of her brother. She hates everything about football and for a good reason.
Brice is the star quarterback for the college football team. He has always had a crush on Favor from afar, and finally, as fate has it, he gets a chance to show her the real him. He is patient, and understanding who grew up idolizing Favor’s father who is an NFL star quarterback.
What was the hardest part of writing this book?
The hardest part was writing about the breakdown of the relationship with Favor’s parents. The things her father says to her and the overall expectations from parent to child.
What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
My favorite part to write about was when Favor was able to forgive a particular character in the book. It showed her growth as a person, and I was excited to show that side of her.
What are your future project(s)?
My upcoming release Bonded which is set to release on June 23rd. I am extremely excited to show Brenda and Magnum’s characters to the reading audience.
All eyes settle on the two of us. Jana and Cal both give me the thumbs up, and I want to melt into the wooden floors. I look up to see Brice gazing at me with a certain look in his eyes. If I had to name it, I would say its hunger. Does he want me as much as I want him? Closing my eyes, I try to shut away the spell he has over me and let the music carry me. Opening my eyes, but still feeling the hypnotic trance that Brice has over me, I see him still staring at me. Instead of being broken out of my trance, he pulls me in deeper. It feels as if everything is happening in slow motion, even when he stands and offers me his hand to take. I stare at his waiting hand and contemplate what would happen if I take it. What would this simple gesture mean? For some reason, it feels like it holds my future and that terrifies me.
