Tied Up in Heartstrings
(Heartstrings #1)

Blurb:
The happily ever after I thought I had, ended prematurely and painfully.
My daughter and I were stuck in a fog of self-preservation, afraid to believe that there wasn’t more pain waiting for us in the ‘real world’.
Just the thought of allowing myself to embrace happiness and take a risk in order to feel that all-consuming love again is terrifying.
And I’m not sure I would be able to survive if it all went away again.
But… what choice do I have when I’m tied up in these heartstrings?
I could cut the ties and run.
Or I could take a chance on someone that my heart once yearned for and hope that he knows how to untangle the fear that holds my heart hostage.
Review: 5 stars
One door closed for Alexis and her daughter Sierra, but another one will open. Loosing ones husband is not easy to deal with and Alexis has her hands full and her mind also dealing with the pain that comes from this loss. Even as she is shutting down her Family and Friends are helping her move forward, and learn how to love again is something they all have in mind for her.
While in college she had been friends with Garrett who left to pursue a dream, to become a singer, at the cost of leaving the one person he was interested in and meant the world to him Alexis, now fate throws them together, his feelings for her are still there and he hopes and wishes that she too will feel like he does.
Life has thrown them together and now we can watch as they come together and we can wonder if they will survive and grow close, great book, lovely story and great characters.
