Changing Lanes!

Change. It’s change and how well you handle it which defines a person.
Three times in my life, I have been faced with such changes. Once when I was fourteen. Again, at eighteen. And now again at twenty-eight.
Twice, she was there.
Ten years ago, I gave up everything, including her. At the time, it was the right thing to do, for both our sakes. Walking away from her isn’t what I wanted, it’s what had to be done.
Now, she’s here. People like me don’t always get second chances, this happens to be mine. That’s if she’ll have me. If she’ll accept why I left and the fact, she’ll always be second.
You see, I have a secret. It could change everything when she learns the truth. She may be the one walking away this time.
We’re about to find out.

Q & A with Leaona Luxx about Changing Lanes!

Tell us about Changing Lanes.

Changing Lanes is a second chance love story and all that it implies. College freshman Brannon O’Hurley meets sophomore Torrie Harrington. Love ensues over the next few months as they get to know one another. After their first semester together, life has designs of its own for this couple, ripping them apart. Ten years later, they run into each other very unexpectedly. Can love lead them back to each other? Or will the changes they've faced, be too much for them to work it out. Because we all know, change and how you handle it, defines you.

What initially inspired you to write Changing Lanes?

BT’s picture. Lol

Tell us little about the characters Changing Lanes.

Brannon O’Hurley is a southern country boy who grew up on a farm. He's determined to make a good life for himself after losing his father st a young age.
Torrie Harrington is the epitome of a New Yorker. Beautiful, smart and with all the right connections except one with her father.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?

Ughhh, finding a happy medium with these characters. Ten years of pent up hostility comes across bitchy and whiny sometimes.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?

There's a few areas that are my favorite or could be anyone's. When Torrie finds out what Brannon has been through and who he's become. When Brannon learns of Torrie’s strength. Or when love leads them home.

What are your future project(s)?

Let's see, I have UTurn for Highway 17 series coming which is Ava’s story. She meets Riley from The Cove series. Chord and Sutton will be next in The Cove series.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the readers about this book/series?

I've been through many changes in my life. Some, I've rose to the top and others have made me struggle. But the important part is, that I never gave up.

Now an exciting excerpt from Changing Lanes!

"Don't you understand? I can't love you."
Turning to her, she stands in front of me as tears fall from her eyes unrestrained.
Her frown deepens as she releases her lip from her teeth.
"Of course, I understand. I see it every time she's around. When you say her name. The minute her words hit your ear. I see it in your eyes, when you think of her. But I can't stop my heart from wanting what it wants. It wants you, Brannon. Always has, always will.” Her eyes plead with me. I can see in them the minute her heart gives way to what I'm telling her to be true. Spinning on her toes, she storms away from me.

  2. Yes I like second chance love. I have met a couple that were in love many years ago and married 40 years later.
