Virtual Tour w/Giveaway: Waking Eden by Rhenna Morgan

The only hope of saving their race is to surrender their hearts.

WAKING EDEN
Eden Series #3
Rhenna Morgan
Released July 26th, 2016

The only hope of saving their race is to surrender their hearts.

With a long foretold and annoyingly vague prophecy warning of immense change for Eden, Ramsay Shantos is forced to hunt words and legends instead of rebels. For a man of action, it’s the worst kind of agony. Until he encounters a sexy librarian who bears the fated prophecy’s mark. A mark no human should possess.

Tortured by her mixed heritage, Trinity Blair has enjoyed little human touch in her life, let alone intimacy. Even the most innocent contact fills her mind with a person’s deepest, darkest secrets—except for Ramsay. Her immunity to his thoughts sparks a fragile hope that she might finally experience the passion of her Dark Spiritu brethren…unless he’s the dangerous crossroads her father predicted.

When knowledge of Eden goes viral in the human realm, Trinity is Ramsay’s only hope for quelling mass panic. Can he risk revealing the secrets of his race to the guileless ray of sunshine? Or is she the unknown source of Eden’s destruction?

Ramsay’s voice was quiet behind her, peaceful, and yet a little sad. “My dad brought me here when I was little. The only time I remember ever having him to myself. Eryx and I had fought about something, a worse blow up than normal. Dad thought me having a place to go and gather my thoughts might be in the best interest of the whole castle.”
Trinity paced her breathing and kept her eyes locked on the majestic sun as it tipped into the teal water. She could see this sight tomorrow, or the day after, but the story bubbling up from Ramsay’s memory was huge. The intensity of it crackled and snapped around her.
“Aside from Eryx, I’ve never brought anyone here, and even he has only been a time or two.” He pulled in a slow breath. “It was the only thing I had of my dad I didn’t have to share with anyone else.” His fingers tightened on her shoulders. “I wanted to share it with you.”
Honest to God, a battering ram couldn’t have impacted her senses more than his simple, heart-felt gift. She was dumbfounded. Too stunned and humbled to formulate even the basest response.
“Look at it, Trinity. That sunset is the same impression you made on me the first time I saw you. Powerful. Colorful. Bright and warm.” He slid his hands around her waist and wrapped her up tight, his mouth at her ear. “Every time I see or think of you, this is what fills me.”
She tried to turn, her body and senses clamoring for eye contact. To anchor herself in his steel-gray eyes.
He stopped her with a flex of his arms. “Not yet. I need you to watch it until it’s gone. To know that it’s the last sunset you’ll see without a mate. And know that the sunrise we watch tomorrow will be ours.”

Q & A with Rhenna Morgan

What books/authors have influenced your writing?Kristen Ashley, Sylvia Day, JR Ward, Karen Marie Moning, and Kresley Cole. They all write such rich characters (especially heroes) and well structured stories!

Have you ever had one character you wanted to go one way with but after the book was done the character was totally different.
Actually, it happens a lot. The deeper I get into every story, the more I learn about my characters. I can always tell when one is evolving differently than I expected because the story will take a turn I never expected. (And they never let me down.)

What’s your next project?
The Eden Series wraps up in October with Eden’s Deliverance, but I’ve just sold a new six-book series to Harlequin’s Carina Press. It’s a super sexy, gritty contemporary romance called the Haven Brotherhood. Book one is called Rough & Tumble and it releases February, 2017. Here’s a little overview of the series:

A brotherhood born from poverty and dangerous beginnings. Six men who’ve not only dragged themselves out of the gutter, but leveraged their street smarts and individual skills to make sure no person or socio-economic class ever holds them down again. Between them, they share two vows. To protect family at all cost, and to pay their good fortune and family ties forward by finding other men like them and building their unique skills. The only rules the brotherhood cares about are those driven by their moral code. And heaven help the poor bastards who get between them and the women they’ve claimed as their own.

When you are in writer mode, music or no music? If music do you have a playlist?
I don’t listen to music. It doesn’t let me get far enough in my character’s heads to actually write. That said, I DO keep playlists of songs that “speak” to me about different stories as I’m out driving around and store them in my Spotify.

Share a funny incident in your life.

Oddly, one of the funniest was how I came up with the idea for the Eden series to begin with. I was in my kitchen one afternoon prepping for some guests to come over and running horribly late, when I spun toward something sitting on the countertop across the room, held out my hand palm up, and tried to “summon” the object to me.
What shocked me the most was that I’d fully expected the object to fly across the room and land in my palm. I didn’t plan it. I just did it as if it were completely natural.

About three seconds later—once I’d double checked to make sure no one had seen what I had done—I realized the reason I’d believed I could actually pull off such a feat was because I’d been dreaming of having such powers for weeks. I’d also been flying and casting fire from my palm.

My brain took off with the idea, molding the dream into what became one of the telltale signs of Lexi Merrill’s lost Myren heritage from book one, Unexpected Eden. The rest, as they say, is history. Now we’re celebrating the release of book three in the series, Waking Eden, with only one more release to go in October (Eden’s Deliverance).

What's the one thing, you can't live without?
Books. I know, it sounds totally cliché, but I’d die without my books. They’re the one guaranteed way to help me unplug from the world and just chill.

Clean shaven, Scruff, beard, or mustache. Ink or Nay?
Scruff and Ink, all the way!
