All You Need Is Love and Coffee!

Maggie Layne has no desire to become a stereotypical, snotty, Stepford wife like her mother or a professional Vegas Sugar Baby like her sister. Maggie wants more than the hollow, soul sucking existence of selling yourself to the highest bidder, which contrary to popular belief by certain Layne women, although marketable, is not a skill.

Bugsy Siegel proved lucrative empires are built on the addictions of others. Like Siegel, Maggie chose to exploit an addiction of countless citizens around the Vegas Valley and opened her coffee shop, Caffeinated. Unlike Siegel, Maggie built something far greater than a gaming empire. She built a life she’s proud of, for herself and her daughter, Addie. On the surface, Maggie appears to have everything she’s ever wanted, but inside, she’s lonely. An existence she resigned herself to when her husband walked out, four years ago. Why would she allow herself to be sucked in again by such a fleeting emotion? How do you give someone that kind of power when you know the devastation love and lies leave behind?

Firefighter Nick DePere has two addictions, Maggie’s coffee and Maggie. For two years, he’s played the role of friendly neighborhood fireman waiting for Maggie to indicate she’s ready to allow another man into her heart. Thanks to a hair-brained scheme devised by Maggie’s meddling bestie, Nick may wait forever for that chance. How do you convince a woman who’s sworn off men for the rest of her life to take a leap of faith, one last time… for you? How do you make her believe you will catch her and never let her go?

All You Need Is Love and Coffee is a stand-alone sexy romantic comedy that will totally hit you in the feels.

Note: Due to adult language and situations this book is intended for readers over 18.

Tell us about All You Need is Love and Coffee.

All You Need is Love and Coffee started out as a novella. I hit 35000 words and Maggie and Nick’s story was nowhere near finished. It started out as a straight romantic comedy, but it evolved into so much more. That’s why I say it’s a sexy romantic comedy that will totally hit you in the feels. Maggie is a strong unique woman, but why she is strong and unique is where the true story lies.

What initially inspired you to write All You Need is Love and Coffee?

My daughter is a barista and she always has these funny stories about stuff that happens where she works or little punny shirts or memes she’s seen. I thought, I could use some of this in a story. All I needed was a strong heroine and woobilicious hero and I had the makings of a great romance.

Tell us little about the characters in All You Need is Love and Coffee.

Maggie Layne is a short, curvy, pierced, purple haired, single mom and business owner. She’s also the black sheep of her family. She definitely sticks out among her bleach blond, surgically enhanced, size two mother and sister. She refuses to be anyone other than herself. She’s had to overcome her family’s criticism, ridiculous expectations, and emotional abuse.

Nick DePere is a sexy fireman with a heart of gold. He loves Maggie for who she is. He doesn’t care how much she weighs, how many piercings she has, or what color her hair is, to him, Maggie is the most beautiful woman in the world, both inside and out. His goal is to make sure Maggie and Addie know how special and loved they are.

What was the hardest part of writing this book?

It’s written in first person. All my other books are written in third. It was a challenge. I had to constantly remind myself, it’s not she, she, she. It’s I, I, I.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?
I have two favorite parts: 1. Any scene with Addie (Maggie’s daughter). Addie is channeling my daughter, Alexa, at that age, from her personality to what and how she says things. 2. When Nick confronts Maggie’s family. I believe everyone needs a champion, someone who will stand by them and love them unconditionally.

What are your future project(s)?

An Unexpected Triad (Book 4 in my Copper Creek Pack Series) will be out this fall. Sealing the Well (Book 1 in my new series Soulmate for a Seal) will be out before the end of the year. Soulmate for a Seal series is a spin-off based on Jack’s team from A Swing and a Dare.

Nick was leaning against the wall outside Addie’s room. “Are you waiting on me?”
“I am.” He scooped me up and threw me over his shoulder in a fireman’s carry. I clapped my hands over my mouth to stifle my squeal. He carried me down the hall to my bedroom and dropped me unceremoniously on the bed. He began pacing back and forth running his hands through his hair. I was completely confused now. This was not the make-up sexing I imagined. “Um, Nick?”
He held up his hand to silence me. He stopped and planted his hands on his hips. He stared at me with a serious expression for a minute before saying, “I know we covered some of this already, but bear with me. Here’s the deal. When we get mad at each other, and we will because we’re both a bit stubborn, there’s no more not talking to each other for days. I promise to never walk out again no matter what you say or how many times you order me to leave. You promise to talk to me and no more saying it’s not my business. You can’t just tell me what you think I want to here, either. No censoring, the good, the bad, and the ugly. And last but not least, make-up sex is to be had immediately and not days later. Got it.”
I gave a little salute. “Got it, sir.”
“Oh, we’re going to play that game tonight are we?” He snickered and my entire body shivered at the promises it held.
I wagged my finger at him. “Don’t even think about it, buster. If anyone’s ordering anyone to do anything around here, it’s gonna be me.”

“Oh I don’t know.” Nick straddle my thighs and grabbed my wrists, placing my hands above my head. “I think it could be fun.”
“You know what would be really fun?” I asked coyly.
He ran his nose along my jaw and inhaled. “You smell so good. What would be really fun?
“Us. Naked. We have on entirely too many clothes for what I have in mind.
He growled and backed off the bed. “How attached are you to this shirt?”
“Um.”
“Never mind. I’ll buy you a new one.” He grabbed hold of the V-neck of my t-shirt and ripped it down the middle.
I gasped. “That was sexy as fuck. I don’t even care that you ruined it.”
He kissed the mounds of my breasts, the sensation making me shiver. He had the most amazing lips.
“We’re okay now?” I needed to hear the words.
He traced the edge of my bra with his tongue. “We’re good. Perfect. I promise.” He nipped at my bottom lip then kissed me. He groaned and rolled off of me. He quickly rid himself of his clothes and started yanking on my jeans. I lifted my ass so he could pull my panties and jeans off. He tossed them over his shoulder.
He reached for the front of my bra and I stopped him. “Do not rip my bra. It’s my favorite. I’ll get it.” I reached behind me and undid the hooks and giggled when I tossed it in his face.
Nick rolled me over and pulled me up onto my knees. He rubbed a palm over my bare bottom and growled. Those animalistic sounds thrilled me. I pushed back against him and he laughed. “Somebody’s in a hurry. Patience my little coffee goddess. I’ve missed you.”

Independent Author Kasey Belle, whose sarcastic tendencies and faulty filter will most likely lead to an untimely death, is a southern belle with a sexy imagination.

In 2006, tired of hurricanes and mosquitoes “The Belle” family moved on up, to the west side of the MS, to Las Vegas. Kasey currently lives there with her sweet southern boy/husband, the infamous “Outlaw”, in their empty nest.

Kasey promises her readers few things: sexy, woobilicious alpha males; strong, snarky, sarcastic, sassy heroines; lots of hot, steamy sex, and a happily ever after. Other than that, the sky’s the limit, Kasey will fly as high as her little, kinky heart desires. In Kasey’s opinion, a good romance, is raw and honest, limited only by the author’s imagination, not dictated by what society deems as normal. Love is love, and all forms are beautiful.

When Kasey isn't writing and perfecting her craft, she is spending time with family/friends or kicking back with a bottle of Moscato. Kasey admits she's addicted to tattoos and books, and won't be seeking help.
