EskieMama Reads Review: The Wedding Pact by Katee Robert

Blurb:

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert continues her smoking-hot series about the O'Malleys—wealthy, powerful, and full of scandalous family secrets.

Carrigan O'Malley has always known her arranged marriage would be more about power and prestige than passion. But after one taste of the hard-bodied, whiskey-voiced James Halloran, she's ruined for anyone else. Too bad James and his family are enemy number 1.

Hallorans vs. O'Malleys—that's how it's always been. James should be thinking more about how to expand his family's empire instead of how silky Carrigan's skin is against his and how he can next get her into his bed. Those are dangerous thoughts. But not nearly as dangerous as he'll be if he can't get what he wants: Carrigan by his side for the rest of their lives.

Review:                            4 Stars

The Wedding Pact was so different from what I usually read but so worth a change!! I usually do not read anything to do with the mafia but The Wedding Pact has changed my thinking.  The Wedding Pact reminded me of modern day Romeo & Juliet two lovers from enemy families trying to find there way to each other.  I truly regret not reading the first book in the O'Malley's series, there was a lot of references from it but this was a stand alone book. I just feel in love with Carrigan she is the type of heroine I love to read about strong-will, not afraid of anything, told it how it is, except when it came to her father, but that sure changes.  The chemistry between James & Carrigan is so hot you can feel it everytime they are together, you just know they are meant to be together.  For being an enemy of Carrigan, James is always there when she needs him & listens to her, that's more then anyone in her family & allies do.  If you are looking for good mob romance for a rainy day read I recommend The Wedding Pact.  This lady is can not wait to read the next book in the O'Malley series & is definitely getting the first book in the series The Marriage Contract.

I received a free copy for my honest review!

Happy Reading!!
