SYNOPSIS:

Lucy

Levi drives me crazy, and not the good kind of crazy.

He’s smoldering hot and so d*mn sexy, it’s dangerous.

He’s a hotshot firefighter and nearly sets me on fire whenever he’s around.

Perhaps it’s an occupational hazard.

He teases me every chance he gets and tempts me to let down my guard.

I certainly don’t need a man.

But Levi’s more than a man. He’s a man on octane fuel—pure, raw, primal masculinity practically oozes from his pores.

One night of weakness, and I tumble into the flames.

It’s more than lust. It’s how I feel when I’m with him—safe and protected. I never want to let go.

I might get burned if I’m not careful.

Levi

Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and hate can always turn into love.

Or at least lust.

Lucy hates me. She especially hates how much I want her.

And sweet h*ll do I want her.

But she can’t be bothered to even give me the time of day.

I should give up the chase, but I can’t.

It’s more than a spark between us, it’s a bonfire.

Fate rolls the dice and lands Lucy right where I want her.

She needs my help, and I need her, every inch of her lush curves.

One taste, and I’m lost. I’ll do anything to have her and to hold her.

To make her mine.

*This is a steamy, full-length standalone romance with a guaranteed happily-ever-after. No cliffhangers. Nothing but steamy romance & HEA!

Excerpt:

Lucy

When Levi said my name, his voice strummed a chord in my body, which reverberated along the ragged edge of my heart. I was too tangled up and too lost in need to allow myself to dwell on it. For a beat, it frightened me. He touched a place inside that I never wanted to be vulnerable. But I couldn’t look away.
The moment he said my name, I opened my eyes to find him rising above me. Every inch of him was hot, hard and breathtaking. Even though I’d just had the most explosive orgasm I’d ever had with a man, it wasn’t enough. It wouldn’t be enough until he was inside of me.
Even though I couldn’t seem to form words, my body knew what it wanted. My legs were curling around his hips to hold him close. I found my words when he rolled to the side.
“Where are you going?” I murmured, trying to stall his motion with one of my legs.
He chuckled, his low laugh sending my belly spinning into flip after flip after flip.

About Hot for the Fireman:

Ex-Army Ranger Erik Grady lives for the job. So when his chief at the Boston Fire Department offers him two choices—mandated therapy for supposed PTSD or a permanent desk job at the station, he reluctantly agrees to see a shrink. Only this doctor is unlike anything he expected. Female and curved in all the right places? Check. Hotter than a four-alarm fire? Check. The kind of woman that can heat his blood in and out of bed? Check, check. And oh, yeah, he just happens to have first hand experience... Of all the men to walk into psychologist Olivia Jones' office, why did it have to be him? Her one-night stand isn't playing by the rules of just. One. Night. She’s had her heart broken in the past, and no way is she going there again. And now he's blackmailing her into three dates? Well, if that's what it takes to make him see a different therapist, fine. She can handle it. So what if the chemistry between them is combustible? She's a professional, damn it. She'll date Mr. I'm Too Sexy For My Bunker Pants. But it won’t end in the fun he expects. It’s time to see how much heat this fireman can take…

“Sounds like a plan. Actually, it sounds like a date. Our second official one, to be exact.”
Olivia chuckled. “What are you talking about? We’ve had dozens of dates.”
“On the contrary, Dr. Jones, watching movies and hooking up at our respective apartments is not a proper date. Attending a party at your parents’ house, however, is definitely a date-type thing.”
“But my parents won’t even be there.”
“What about your godfather?”
A slow smile curved her lips. “Yes, I suppose Uncle Eddie and Aunt Tish will be in attendance.”
“There, you see? Anything that includes your family and my therapist is definitely an official date.” Erik gave her a sly grin and crowded her into the corner where the equipment lockers met the wall. “Come on, humor me. Calling it a date makes me feel like I’m not only a piece of meat being used for my body.”
“Fine,” she said with an exaggerated sigh and roll of those sexy hazel eyes. “It’ll officially be our second date. But just so we’re clear, I am only using you for your body.”
Peering up at him coyly through the dark fringe of her lashes, Olivia placed a single manicured nail at the hollow of his throat and dragged it down the center of his body. The muscles of his torso flexed and shuddered in its wake, shooting signals to his cock and balls that it was time to play. Thankfully, he still had a small supply of blood in his brain that prevented him from hauling her into his office and fucking her over his desk. Christ, that’s getting added to the fantasy bucket list. For now, though, he had to postpone the fun until later.
“Oddly enough, I’m very okay with being your boy toy, and I encourage you to get as much use out of me as you can. Now, I don’t know if you know this, but I also happen to be a firefighter. So if you’ve got any hot spots you need checked, I’d be more than happy to bring my hose by later and check them out thoroughly.”
Mmm, that’s the best idea I’ve heard all day. You’re such a do-gooder, Lieutenant Grady.”
“Just doing my civic duty, ma’am. But you better get out of here before I decide you need to take the afternoon off so I can do some initial inspections.”
Laughing, she bussed him on the lips quickly and ducked under his arm, giving him a sexy wink before leaving him with the biggest hard-on that’d ever graced the firehouse gym. Fuck me. Time for a cold shower.

EskieMama & Dragon Lady Reads Review: Shelter for Adeline by Susan Stoker

Shelter for Adeline
Badge of Honor:
Texas Heroes series #7
by
Susan Stoker

Blurb:

Saddled with a job she hates and a detestable boss she likes even less, Adeline Reynolds could use a break. It doesn’t look like she’ll get one today. Her service dog, Coco, is alerting her she’s about to have an epileptic seizure—and her frustrated blind date has left her to deal on her own. Enter firefighter Dean Christopherson, who escorts her to the nearby fire station, where she can suffer through her ordeal safe from injury and prying eyes.

Dean—known as “Crash” to his friends—didn’t expect to find The One in a diner during his lunch break, but he’s blindsided by the beautiful, brave Adeline. She brings out his every protective instinct—along with the carnal ones. As they get to know each other, Dean’s feelings for Adeline grow fast, as does his irritation with her boss, whose behavior is suspicious at best.

As much as he wants to protect Adeline from the world, Crash has to tread carefully. His overprotectiveness could push her away…and leave her vulnerable to a man whose obsession has reached the boiling point.

Review:                                 5 stars

Have you ever read a book that flows like a river, in places its gentle as can be and when needed it flows like a raging river, well today as I read Shelter for Adeline, I felt like this book was like this river.
Dean “Crash” to his friends, did not believe he would ever find the one woman who fit him, that is until Adeline walked into the restaurant to meet a blind date.
Adeline has a job she loves and boss she hates, she also has medical issue that she feels has hampered her throughout her life.
Her service dog, Coco, is alerting her she’s about to have an epileptic seizure, just before her date leaves her at the restaurant, and here comes Dean to her rescue and from there on its like a wonderful thing to see happening to both of them.
Will they find a life together, will they overcome what awaits them. Just read the book, its a warm wonderful story and I thank Susan Stoker for the trip that I undertook reading this book.

I received a copy for my honest review!

EskieMama & Dragon Lady Reads Review: Backburn by Brandy L Rivers

Backburn
Combustile series #4
by
Brandy L. Rivers

Blurb:

Sometimes to control a fire you have to start one.
A string of arsons has Officer Marissa Cortez willing to pair up with an old flame in order to find the firebug. She’ll do her best to ignore the chemistry that has never died.

He realized his mistake in the midst of danger.

Seasoned fireman, Dave Metcalf, has a sea of regrets. The biggest was pushing his now ex-wife away while recovering from a bad fire. With her illness, his son comes to live with him again, giving him a new perspective.

Watching a comrade go down pushes Metcalf to help in the investigation.

The spark never died between Marissa and Metcalf. They’ll have to work together to find the culprit and end the wave of destruction sweeping Lakeridge.

Review:                             5 stars

Oh where do I start with Backburn, it was a wonderful amazing romance. It had a little suspense, little laughs, some tears, lot of hot sizzling sex, it had a little of everything I love in a great read, kept me turning the page.

The flame blazed in Metcalf & Marissa’s passion eleven years ago, but circumstances burned it out, but eleven years later it ignited once again at a chance meeting, and flame was hotter than ever. Marissa is reluctant at first starting a relationship again with Metcalf, but Metcalf never gives up, he knows there is something still there between Marissa and him. I just feel in love with Metcalf’s little boy Ashton, he was a smart caring 10 year old, with everything he was going through with his mother, he wanted Marissa to be part of their life from the moment he knew she maybe his dad’s girlfriend. Now Ashton’s mother, Metcalf’s ex-wife was nothing but a witch (I really want to but a b instead of a w but I am being nice).

If you are looking for weekend read, a page turner, with a little suspense, a few giggles and hot steamy sex I recommend you pick up a copy of Backburn. You will not be able to put it down. Brandy L. Rivers has won a new reader in this gal! As soon as I can I am loading the other three books in Combustile series.

I receieved a copy for my honest review!
